	The Port of Pan ABC is now bi-lingual

	English: The steelpan is an instrument that was created in the 20^st century by a group of teenagers of African descent from the island of Trinidad and Tobago and made an indelible impression on the people of Switzerland. But, even though we love the instrument many time we don‘t know or understand the terms or words used in the pan vernacular. That is why I decided to write an alphabet to explain the terms and words used in the pan culture. I have been toying with this idea for the last few years but finally I decided to write this alphabet because I believe that it can cement the bridge that was built by panists who visited Trinidad. This is my contribution to hold that bridge. Previously the ABC Port of Pan was only in German. Due to some problems it was erased and people missed it. Now it is back and I have decided to add an English component to it so that more people will benefit. I have to thank my friend Khalick J. Hewitt for this new feature in English. Khalick is a panologist from Brooklyn, New York in the United States, he did the English translation for the readers. Feel free to send us word suggestions or other comments. Enjoy!

	Deutsch: Als ich Anfängerin war, und mir mein Wissen über die Steelpan und ihre Kultur auf etwa 100 verschiedenen (nicht up to date oder schnell wieder gestorbenen) Internet-Seiten zusammen suchen musste, entstand die Idee ein Vocabulary zusammen zu stellen. Als solches war es etwa 4 Jahre lang in Deutsch online. Wegen eines Problems wurde es gelöscht und musste überarbeitet werden. Diese komplett überarbeitete Neufassung hat jedoch eher noch an Wert gewonnen. Mein Freund Khalick J. Hewitt, ein Panologist aus Brooklyn, New York, hatte die Idee sofort aufgenommen und alle Ausdrücke auf Englisch übersetzt. Wir betrachten uns nicht als Alleswisser, schon gar nicht als Besserwisser! Aufgepickt haben wir vor allem Worte denen man in der "Alltagssprache Pan und Trini Kultur" begegnet. Worte, die einem als Anfänger wie eine Geheimsprache vorkommen können. So ist dieses ABC hauptsächlich als Guide für Anfänger gedacht. Inputs und Korrekturen würden uns sehr freuen, und unser momentanes eigenes Wissen bereichern. Viel Vergnügen!
