Steel Magic Northwest presents its annual “Holiday in Steel” steelband concert in Bellevue for the first time.
The concert features a varied program, including popular songs, holiday favorites, classic music (three movements of Tchaikovski’s “Nutcraker Suite”), and Caribbean music. Three youth groups, including the 30-piece all-city “Pan Wazards” youth steel orchestra and the Belleuve High School steelband, and “Mystical Steel” adult community steel band will perform.
Suggested $10 per person donation at the door.

The day will be a series of clinics, concerts and educational sessions. The guest artists, presenters and ensembles include: Cuesta’s beginning and intermediate Steel Bands, Patty Dee, director, Jeff Narell, steel drum performer, composer and educator, Darrell Voss, Cuesta College percussion faculty, John Astaire, Cal Poly Percussion Faculty and the Polyrhythmics, Blair Helsing, percussionist and music technology chair and former CA chapter of Percussive Arts Society.
