UK – Notting Hill Carnival will kick-off with a countdown on the big screen at Piccadilly Circus before Europe’s biggest street party goes digital for 2020.
Organisers have lined up a host of video and music to celebrate carnival’s 54-year history, which will be streamed online in place of the traditional parties across the August bank holiday weekend.
Radio presenters DJ Ace and Remel London will host the three-day virtual event showing performances and big-name speakers alongside films celebrating the vibrant food, dance, music and culture.
There will be exclusive sets from sound systems, calypso dancers, and steelpan bands throughout the weekend.
Other presenters include BBC Radio London’s Aurie Styla and Claire Clottey, as well as DJ Martin Jay.
